Abstract: THIS IS A MAIL SURVEY OF A RANDOM SAMPLE OF 180,000 BLOOD DONORS FROM BLOOD CENTERS PARTICIPATING IN THE NHLBI "REDS" PROGRAM. DATA WILL BE USED TO MONITOR THE SAFETY OF THE U.S. BLOOD SUPPLY AND FACILITATE THE DEVELOPMENT, EVALUATION, AND REFINEMENT OF DONOR EDUCATION AND RECRUITMENT STRATEGIES.
