Abstract: THIS TELEPHONE SURVEY OF 5,200 ADULTS MEASURES ATTITUDES TOWARD AND UNDERSTANDING OF S&T. THE DATA WILL BE USED IN THE NATIONAL SCIENCE BOARD'S CONGRESSIONALLY-MANDATED REPORT, SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING INDICATORS. OTHER USERS WILL INCLUDE: THE NIH, POLICY MAKERS, RESEARCHERS, AND SPONSORS OF SURVEYS ABROAD, WITH WHICH THIS SURVEY IS CLOSELY COORDINATED.
