Terms of Clearance: This collection of information is approved through June of 1995. However, EPA failed to demonstrate that the requirement that records b retained for six years had any practical utility as required under 5 CFR 1320. EPA may, therefore, only require that records be retained for a period of three years. All other existing terms of clearance remain in effect.

Abstract: THE TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED REMAIN UNCHANGED FROM THE CURRENT ICR. THIS ICR AMENDS THE QUANTITY OF TEST DATA AND REPORTS REQUIRED F MOTOR VEHICLE CERTIFICATION. CHANGES ARE PROMPTED BY THE CLEAN AIR AC AMENDMENTS OF 1990 AND THE TIER 1 EMISSION STANDARDS (56 FR 25724, JUNE 5, 1991). RESPONDENTS ARE MOTOR VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS.
