This collection
of information is approved through June of 1995. However, EPA
failed to demonstrate that the requirement that records b retained
for six years had any practical utility as required under 5 CFR
1320. EPA may, therefore, only require that records be retained for
a period of three years. All other existing terms of clearance
remain in effect.

THE TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
REMAIN UNCHANGED FROM THE CURRENT ICR. THIS ICR AMENDS THE QUANTITY
OF TEST DATA AND REPORTS REQUIRED F MOTOR VEHICLE CERTIFICATION.
CHANGES ARE PROMPTED BY THE CLEAN AIR AC AMENDMENTS OF 1990 AND THE
TIER 1 EMISSION STANDARDS (56 FR 25724, JUNE 5, 1991). RESPONDENTS
ARE MOTOR VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS.
