Abstract: Rule 12d2-1 was adopted in 1935 and requires that national securities exchanges send written notice to the Commission of all trading suspensions. This provides the Commission with information necessary to determine whether suspensions have been accomplished in accordance with Federal securities laws and exchange rules.
