Abstract: The NMFS Alaska Region Logbook family of forms would be revised to accomodate a new regulatory program for retention and utilization of groundfish. This new program is mandated by recent amendments to the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act. Three existing logbooks would be revised to require catcher vessels, catcher/processors, and motherships to record total catch of pollock and Pacific cod in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands area and Gulf of Alaska.
