Abstract: The CG proposes to reduce the number of respondents. Approximately 1,500 event sponsors will need to submit written notice for events with over 50 participating vessels. About 20 of those must submit additional information, if event needs a permit. CG uses the information to consider impacts on navigation and the environment, determine measures needed to avoid or reduce impacts, and to promote safety of life in the event area.
