The information contained on the
Structure Inventory and Appraisal Sheet is needed to keep the
National Bridge Inventory accurate, to know the physical condition
of highway bridges on public roads, and for the apportioning of
Federal funds to the States for bridge replacement or
rehabilitation projects under the Bridge Program. Generally, the
respondents are State transportation agencies that own, maintain,
and operate highways, including the bridges on all public
roads.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
