Abstract: Rule 206(4)-2 requires an investment adviser who has custody of funds or securities of any client to maintain those funds in a way that they will be reasonably safeguarded from loss due to the adviser's negligence or wrongdoing and will be insulated from and not be jeopardized by financial reverses, including insolvency, of the investment adviser.
