In general all MACT standards require
initial notifications, performance tests, and periodic reports and
to maintain records according to the General Provisions (40 CFR
Part 63, Subpart A). The recordkeeping and reporting requirements
are needed to deter- mine compliance with the applicable standards.
These standards affect owners or operators of the following
affected facilities at primary aluminum reduction plants; new or
existing potlines, paste production plants, or anode bake furnances
associated with primary aluminum production and located at a major
source, and for each new pitch storage tank.
