This collection of information requires the person-in-charge of a barge fleeting facility to keep records of twice daily inspections of barge moorings and movements of barges and hazardous cargo in and out of the facility. Respondents are operators of barge fleeting facilities.
The change in burden is due to an adjustment in the estimated population of barge fleeting facilities (increase from 49 to 81), and the estimated number of barges per fleeting facility (increase from 107 to 125). The increase in barge fleeting facilities is due to the inclusion of additional data from a U.S. Army Corp of Engineers report that contains barge fleeting facilities within the mile radius requirement.
