Form EIA-886 is an annual survey of
the number of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) and other advanced
technology vehicles made available in the previous and following
calendar years and the number, type, and geographic distribution of
AFVs in use and the alternative transportation fuels (ATFs) they
consume. The data on AFVs and ATFs are used to provide Congress
with a measure of the extent to which the objectives of the Energy
Policy Act of 1992 are being achieved, and to provide an accurate
picture of the availability of AFVs in the US. Respondents are
manufacturers and converters of AFVs and advanced technology
vehicles and users of AFVs and ATFs
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
