This program implements a reimbursable grant that enhances existing state and local emergency response training programs. It increases knowledge of emergency responders and their effectiveness in handling incidents involving hazardous materials.
This ICR is the result of an addition of questions added to the Hazardous Materials Emergeny Planning (HMEP) application kit that are to be answered by recipients of HMEP grants. The additional questions will increase the annual burden hours of the affected parties (grant recipients. In addition, two (2) additional grantees have been identified and have been included in the calculations of the annual burden hours and burden cost.
