Dear [Name]:

You are receiving this letter because your organization is a local partner with the IRS office of Stakeholder Partnerships, Education, and Communication (SPEC). During the next couple of weeks, you will receive a phone call from Macro International, a survey research and consulting firm, on behalf of IRS SPEC. The caller will ask you to complete a brief survey to provide your candid feedback about the products and services you receive from SPEC.

Based on feedback from you and other SPEC partners, we have scheduled the 2008 survey to begin later in the year so as not to coincide with the opening of filing season and your volunteer sites. The survey questions have also been revised to include items related to SPEC initiatives and our changing business environment.

Capturing your feedback is very important to the IRS and to me, specifically. Your opinion means a lot to us.

When Macro International contacts you, please take a few moments to complete the survey with the interviewer. The survey should take only 26 minutes or less. Your participation in this survey is critical so that we can improve our products and services to all of our local partners. Macro International will hold your identity confidential and will provide your answers to the IRS without your name or other identifying information.

If you have any questions, please contact Ron Deaett at 401-525-4214 or your IRS relationship manager.

Sincerely,

Ellie Cimaglia, Director
Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communication
