This collection of information is used
by the FMCSA for registering foreign motor carriers to operate
across the Mexico- U.S. border into the United States in accordance
with 49 U.S.C. 13902(c).
The annual burden hour
adjsutment for this ICR is due to a decrease in the estimated
number of application filings by Mexico-domiciled motor carriers
from 2800 to 615 for Certificates of Registration to operate in the
United States. As a result, the annual cost estimate for completing
the Form OP-2 decreased $707,740 [$907,200 previously approved
annual cost to respondents - $184,500 filing fee + $14,760 cost to
complete Form OP-2)= $707,740.
