Abstract: The was originally designed to assist State agencies to provide scholarships to talented and meritorious students who were seeking teaching careers at the preschool, elementary, and secondary levels. The Department uses information to ensure the compliance of the State Educational Agencies and the level of fulfillment of the scholarship obligations by the Douglas scholars.
