Evaluation of NWS Twin Cities, MN Products and Services

Hello EveryoneNow that we are coming out of the recovery phase from the spring floods, I wanted to have an after
action evaluation of NWS Services and products provided during the 2010 spring flood. Attached is a
survey which should take roughly 25 to 30 minutes to complete. If there is someone else in your office
or group that was actively involved with the event, we would welcome their thoughts and opinions as
well. We would like to receive all responses by June 15, 2010 (assuming I am able to distribute this by
May 15th); so roughly a month to respond. If June 15th is not feasible, could you let me know?
To provide some insight on the purpose and goals of the survey: in general we would like a better
understanding of your perspective of the timeliness and effectiveness of the NWS Twin Cities flood

services and products in preparation and response to this event. We would really like to know
your thoughts, both the positive and negative, of the support, services and products that the NWS
Twin Cities provided leading up to, during and after the flood. In addition, we would like to know the
value of the newer strategies and products employed during the flood, especially the blend of
the webinars and the email briefings. Were they useful/not useful and would you like similar
products and services in the future from the NWS Twin Cities. Also, based on your responses we
will glean some of the best practices to share with NWS offices.
