In 2007, in order to assess its
efforts to provide supervisory support, technical assistance,
education, and outreach to its Minority Owned National Banks
(MONBs), the OCC requested feedback on the effectiveness of its
efforts at that time and suggestions for enhancing its supervisory
efforts and assistance going forward. The OCC used the information
it obtained to assess both the needs of the MONBs and the OCC's
current efforts to meet those needs, and to focus and enhance its
MONB supervisory, technical assistance, education and outreach. The
OCC now proposes to conduct a follow up survey proposed for
administration in 2009, which is designed to collect data against
which the OCC can compare its 2007 baseline data in order to
measure agency performance in the area of MONB support.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
