The National Survey of Family Growth
NSFG) is a nationally-representative sample survey conducted by
personal interview among a sample of approximately 5,000 men and
women annually. Data will be collected on pregnancy, contraception,
parenting, and related attitudes. The information is used by NCHS,
the NICHD, the Office of Population Affairs, OASPE, the Children's
Bureau, the CDC HIV Prevention Program, and the CDC Division of
Reproductive Health.

The increase in burden is due
to the fact that the last clearance included a pretest, but this
clearance is a full survey collection which is a larger number of
respondents.

the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
