concluded on the basis that - as agreed under the conditions of the
Generic ICR - SSA may pay no more than $40 to participants in its
useability studies. It may pay up to $75 to participants in its
focus groups. Under Section 3, the question on Race and Ethnicity
should be expanded to read 'What is the Applicant's race? Please
select one or more.'

This is the blanket ("generic")
clearance for all customer satisfaction assessments that will be
conducted by SSA in FY 2006-FY 2008. These include focus groups,
questionnaires/ surveys (mail, Internet, and telephone), and
customer comment cards. The purpose of these measures is to obtain
feedback from the public on various services, programs, and
products that SSA currently offers or plans to offer in the future.
The respondents are members of the public who choose to participate
in any of SSA's planned customer satisfaction surveys. We are
currently submitting Internet Enumeration Focus Group/Usability GC
for approval. We request an approval date of 5/5/09.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
