In accordance with the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act and the regulations at 43 CFR 4700, the BLM collects specific information from individuals in order to determine if applicants are qualified to adopt wild horses and burros, to determine whether or not to grant requests for replacement animals or refunds, and to make other arrangements for aniamls' care when adopter wants to terminate a private maintenance and care agreement.
