NHTSA and OMB
agree that for practical considerations, staff will only be
conducting interviews at gas stations during certain daylight
hours. Since this effectively limits how well the target population
of drivers is covered, NHTSA will note this limitation in all of
its reports or presentations of the results from this
research.

Under inflated tires is not only a
safety risk, but also one related to fuel economy. Conduct survey
of tire pressure to evaluate whether the frequency of underinflated
tires has decreased in vehicles with TPMS. Collect data on drivers
familiarity with their TPMS and their response to warnings given by
it, as well as their refueling habits.
