Airports seeking approval to allow
arriving and departing flights from Cuba, the port authority,
director of airport operations, or the air carrier must send a
written request to the CBP port director requesting permission, and
providing the anticipated frequency of flights, times and days of
flights, and type of aircraft.
This submission is
associated with a Final Rule that must be published in the near
future. This Rule is a Presidential priority.

This information collection is
in accordance with the Presidents recent statement easing the
restrictions placed on flights to and from Cuba by, among other
things, providing that eligible airports may seek approval from CBP
to accommodate flights arriving from, or departing for, Cuba.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
