Abstract: The newly amended Commodity Exchange Act requires the Commission to prescribe standards for swap dealers (SDs) and major swap participants (MSPs) related to the confirmation, processing, netting, documentation, and valuation of swaps. Accordingly, the Commission has proposed regulations imposing swap confirmation, portfolio reconciliation and portfolio compression obligations upon SSs and MSPs. The information collection arises from the recordkeeping requirements associated with those rules.
