A variety of geographic partnerships have been developed by the U.S. Census Bureau to include state, local and tribal entities in the update of census geographic information, which includes features, addresses and boundaries. The Census Bureau benefits from state or local knowledge, and the state or local entities benefit from a more accurate census geographic base for the 2010 Decennial Census, the American Community Survey (ACS), and other censuses and surveys.
