Updated Research Questions, Crosswalks, and Surveys for the Evaluation of the
Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program
This package includes the updated research questions for the evaluation of the Robert
Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program (Appendix A). It also includes the updated surveys
and crosswalks mapping the key survey constructs to the Research Questions. Each of the
appendices D-H begins with the survey crosswalk(s) and is followed by the relevant
survey. The appendices included in this package should replace the relevant appendices
in the original OMB package.

Appendix G:
Noyce Recipient Crosswalks and Surveys (includes 5 separate
modules for recipients of different statuses as well as introduction
section for all modules). The recipient crosswalks include 3
separate documents: 1) a graphic describing the types of recipients
who take each module, 2) a crosswalk showing how the survey
items are mapped across modules, and mapping the overall survey
constructs to Research Questions.

Updates to Research Questions and Surveys
The Research Questions have very minor updates, primarily to account for differences
between the recipients and interns.
All surveys were shortened to help minimize the burden on respondents. Additionally,
questions and response categories in the recipient surveys that ask for general information
about recent STEM graduates and teachers were adapted from existing national protocols
(for example, the National Center for Education Statistics Schools and Staffing Survey
2007-08 (SASS) and the National Science Foundation’s 2006 National Survey of Recent
College Graduate (NSRCG)).
