The Commission needs to collect,
compile and maintain a list of counties, Public Safety Answering
Points (PSAP) service areas, and specific parts for public safety
awareness of areas where wireless carriers are unable to comply
with requirements for location accuracy concerning the ability of
PSAPs to determine the location of emergency wireless 911 calls.
The Commission also needs to ensure that wireless carriers and
third party systems service providers transport confidence and
uncertainty data for he location of wireless E911 calls to PSAPs on
a per-call basis upon a PSAP's request (two years after the
effective date of the Second Report and Order, FCC 10-176. The
Commission is submitting this non-substantive change request to
inform OMB and the public that the filing for exclusion reports
will be extended for filers.

This is a new collection
resulting in 13,700 responses and 71,100 hours. The Commission
implemented this new collection to satisfy amended location
accuracy standards in connection with wireless E911 at either a
county-based or PSAP-based geographic level. This is to keep the
Commission, public safety organizations, and state and local
jurisdictions informed of the specific counties and areas in those
counties where wireless carriers are unable to comply with the
Commission's amended location accuracy standards by the end of
newly adopted benchmark periods.
