OJJDP should coordinate this collection more closely with BJS, the DoJ lead statistical office, in order to fully address OMB questions about comparability of reporting offenses data, the role and quality of various “rosters” in developing a sampling frame, and the need for such information biennially, and should demonstrate such coordination prior to any future submission of this collection.

This collection is a reinstatement with change. The changes that created the decrease in the burden are a result of improvements in the collection and the addition of the Pre-survey screener that allowed the program to better target the respondents and as a result reduce the number of respondents.
