Short Statement: This document contains proposed amendments to the regulations relating to certain cash or deferred arrangements and matching contributions under section 401(k) plans and section 403(b) plans. These regulations affect administrators of, employers maintaining, participants in, and beneficiaries of certain section 401(k) plans and section 403(b) plans. The collection of information in these proposed regulations is in §1.401(k)-3. The collection relates to the new supplemental notice in the case of a reduction or suspension of safe harbor nonelective contributions. The change in these regulations has increased the burden by 10,000 hours.
