CDC provides funding to 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. CDC collects progress and activity information from awardees semi-annually. CDC requests approval for one year for awardees to complete their reporting requirements for the tobacco control programs. The other three programs have been discontinued (diabetes, Health Communities, and BRFSS.
