This information collection request reduces the estimated burden currently approved by OMB by 42 hours due to a reduction in use and an increase in the use of electronic submissions. This request increases non-wage costs of $37,200 due to an adjustment in the number of respondents taking the coal moisture deduction which requires laboratory fees.
OSMRE is updating this form in Part 2, section 7 to make it easier for a mine operator to declare that coal production has been completed. This will not add burden to respondents.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
