The evaluation of NSF's PIRE program will document publication, educational and career outcomes of participants and will compare these outcomes to those of a matched comparison group; results will provide NSF evidence of PIRE's effectiveness at meeting its goals and will inform program management and later solicitations for proposals. Respondents include Principal Investigators, postdoctoral, graduate and undergraduate students, foreign investigators, and international affairs representatives at Lead PIs' U.S. institutions.
