FSIS is collecting information from
meat and poultry slaughter establishments as part of a waiver
program to aid in the control and reduction of Salmonella.
The previous OMB approval for
this collection was for 206,000 burden hours; however, the Agency
will eliminate a substantial number of current SIP approvals with

burden of 152,224 hours and 563,200 responses.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
