The National Center for Health
Statistics (NCHS) requests approval to make non-substantive changes
to for the 2015 data collection to remain consistent with
meaningful use regulations. The National Electronic Health Records
Survey (NEHRS) was a supplement under the component of the ongoing
National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) from 2008-2013
(known as the Electronic Medical Records Supplement (OMB No.
0920-0234)). In 2014, we request and received this independent
approval for the purpose of conducting survey activities.

Change Request to NAMCS NEHRS (0920-1015).The new questions on the
2015 NAMCS NEHRS are designed to be responsive to information
needed in the context of the meaningful use rule promulgated in
Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Electronic Health Record Incentive
Program - Stage 2, 42 CFR §§ 412-413-495 (2012).
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
