This is a request for a non-substantive change. NASS would like to change the reporting requirement from mandatory to voluntary for the remainder of this approval. The previous collection was done under the Census of Agriculture authority. The upcoming data collection will be done under the NASS normal data collection authority. There have been several minor changes to the questionnaire and several sections of the questionnaire that will be omitted in the next round of data collection. There will be a small reduction in respondent burden as a result.

The forms were shortened to remove questions that only need to be asked once every five years rather than annually. The questionnaire also had some minor changes due to the quality control testing NASS conducted following the previous data collection.
