Automated vital system regulations are
necessary to promote the safety of life at sea on USCG certified
vessels. The Coast Guard reviews plans, tests, and procedures to
determine compliance and evaluate necessary manning of automated
vessels. Respondents are owners, operators, shipyards, designers,
and manufacturers of certain vessels.
The change in burden is an
ADJUSTMENT due to a change (i.e., increase) in the estimated annual
number of responses. There is no proposed change to the reporting
requirements of this collection. The reporting requirements, and
the methodology for calculating burden, remain unchanged.
