As part of our efforts to improve
customer service, TTB surveys its customers who apply for original
or amended permits, submit formula approval requests, and submit
requests for certificates of label approval. These surveys assist
TTB in identifying potential customer needs and problems, as well
as opportunities for improvement in our applications processes,
with particular focus on our customers’ experiences with TTB’s
various electronic application systems.
The previously-reported ICR
Summary of Burden of 107,500 responses and 53,000 hours of total
time burden were mistaken over-estimates. During the last 3-year
cycle for this generic information collection, TTB did not seek
more than 10,000 responses to the six customer satisfaction surveys
approved under that earlier request. We have adjusted the number of
responses and the total time burden to more realistically reflect
the expected number of annual responses that TTB will seek for the
six voluntary customer satisfaction surveys contained under this
generic information collection request, while allowing for addition
responses to future generic surveys issued under this information
collection approval request.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;
(ii) Use of information;
(iii) Burden estimate;
(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
(v) Nature and extent of confidentiality; and
(vi) Need to display currently valid OMB control
number;
If you are unable to certify compliance with any of
