DOE has issued regulations governing
applications for loan guarantees from the United States Department
of Energy to finance projects and facilities located in the United
States that employ innovative and advanced fossil energy
technologies. The information applicants provide will be evaluated
to determine which projects are appropriate and qualify for the
Department’s Loan Guarantees. The collection of this information is
critical to ensure that the government has sufficient information
to determine whether applicants meet the eligibility requirements
to qualify for a DOE loan guarantee and to provide DOE with
sufficient information to evaluate an applicant’s project using the
criteria specified in 10 CFR Part 609.
