This collection is associated with the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC). The collection documents voluntary compliance with this convention for U.S. vessels on international voyages. Without the proper MLC certificates/documents, a U.S. vessel could be detained in a foreign port. Respondents are ship-owners and operators.
