This collection is associated with the
Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC). The collection documents
voluntary compliance with this convention for U.S. vessels on
international voyages. Without the proper MLC
certificates/documents, a U.S. vessel could be detained in a
foreign port. Respondents are ship-owners and operators.
The change in burden is an
ADJUSTMENT due to a change (i.e., increase) in the estimated annual
number of responses. There is no proposed change to the reporting
or recordkeeping requirements of this collection. The reporting and
recordkeeping requirements, and the methodology for calculating
burden, remain unchanged.
