This information collection
requirement pertains to various information in support of the DoD
acquisition process: Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation
Supplement (DFARS) Parts 208, Required Sources of Supplies and
Services; 209, Contractor Qualifications; and 235, Research and
Development Contracting; and associated clauses in DFARS part 252.
This information collection implements 10 U.S.C. 2323, 2327, 2354,
and 2536.
There is an estimated decrease
of 848 hours due primarily to reduction in the number of shipments
of precious metals under DFARS 252.208-7000 from 131 per year to 25
per year; and reduction of estimated number of respondent to DFARS
252.235-7003 from 402 to 250, based on clause usage data, rather
than estimating a percentage of total research and development
contracts.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
