Abstract: IMLS requests delegation of authority to review and approve all agency information collection requests (excluding surveys, evaluations, and data calls used for policy-making purposes, under the Paperwork Reduction Act. The information collections in this package include all of the guidelines and instructions to (1) apply for IMLS support, (2) identify grant reviewers, and (3) complete post-award reports for the agency's grant programs for the Native Hawaiian Library Grant Program.

Short Statement: For this three year approval, the estimate to complete the application package for the Native Hawaiian Library Grant Program has been increased from 30 hours to 40 hours. In consultation with applicants, it was noted that the requirements for this funding opportunity are similar to other programs, such as the Native American Enhancement Library program which is listed at 40 hours. This change is to bring the estimate to a more realistic level and comparable to similar program requirements across IMLS.
