Per 20 U.S.C. Section 9134, State Library Administrative Agencies [SLAA] must submit Five Year Plans with specific goals and activities on which they will expend their annual state grant. 20 U.S.C 9134(c) specifies that "Each [SLAA] receiving a grant under this subchapter shall independently evaluate, and report to the Director regarding, the activities assisted under this subchapter, prior to the end of the 5-year plan.â The attached Guidelines are basis on which evaluation occurs.
The burden has increased for this data collection because due to a change in the Grants to States legislation, the Freely Associated States and the Pacific Islands have been added to the Grants to States program, instead of their own grant program. This has increased the population for this data collection from 55 to 59.
