Abstract: The ACAS will be used to ascertain the effectiveness, and to evaluate the differences and consistency, of ATSDR activity delivery and respondent perceptions across sites and over time; determine how effectively ATSDR's site team engages community members; and discover how well ATSDR provides effective, clear and consistent communication and information on how to promote healthy and safe environments and prevent harmful exposures through the activities they implement in communities. ATSDR will also pilot test a brief text-based survey method.

Short Statement: The ACAS includes 3 additional questions that address gaps identified during the first administration of the survey. One question is being removed from the ACAS because the question did not provide useful data. In addition, the telephone-base survey mode is being discontinued due to previous respondents' preference for the online mode of survey administration. Finally, ATSDR will pilot a brief SMS text survey.
