TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: GSA Auctions Website Survey (Annual Renewal February 2021)



PURPOSE: To survey site users to determine the user friendliness of the GSA Auctions Website (GSA Auctions Website) and enable the program to make continuous improvements to the site based on respondents’ feedback.


DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS: There will be two different types of respondents: Respondents visiting the GSA Auctions website who can opt-in via an anonymous link for the survey and respondents who may be contacted via a contact list based on voluntary site registrations that will be provided by the FAS program. Visitors to the website are mostly non-federal stakeholders.

If PII is collected, please provide a brief statement regarding why PII is necessary, how it will be stored and for how long, and how it will be destroyed once the collection is over.


PII collection is voluntary. We ask respondents whether they would like to be contacted to discuss the responses they gave in the survey. If they respond yes, they are prompted to provide first name, last name, email address, and telephone number, all of which are voluntary. In addition, some additional information from the survey will be associated with the individual, namely business category and age range. The information will be stored in the IT Security approved instance of Qualtrics for three years and then will be deleted from the system.

There will be two mechanisms to take the survey: Respondents can opt-in via an anonymous link on the GSA Auctions Website, or may be contacted via a contact list based on voluntary site registrations that will be provided by the FAS program. We will be sampling registered users based on the date of registration where the user registered in the last six months.
