This information collection aids the
Coast Guard in determining if a vessel complies with certain safety
and environmental protection standards. Plans/records for
construction or modification of U.S. or foreign vessels submitted
and/or maintained on board are needed for compliance with these
standards. The statutory authority for the requirements are 33
U.S.C. 1903, 46 U.S.C. 3703, 3703a, 3705, 3706, 3707, 3710 and
3711.
