29 CFR part 1926, subpart U and its
collections of information provide protection to employees who work
with and around blasting operations. In addition, inventories of
explosives must be maintained to assure employer and blaster
accountability for explosives.

OSHA is requesting an
adjustment decrease in burden hours of 65 hours. The decrease is
due to a change in the number of affected sites due to general
economic growth.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
