PURPOSE:


  • To collect feedback from authorized federal, state, local, and tribal criminal justice agencies after attending one or more web-based Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program virtual training sessions.


DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS:


Federal, state, local, and tribal criminal justice practitioners who are currently participating in the UCR program or those who are interested in or working toward participating in the UCR Program. Respondents will be attendees of one or more distance learning sessions offered by UCR. The UCR Program is a voluntary program in which university and college, city, county, state, tribal and federal law enforcement agencies participate by submitting their crime data. The data submitted is used to generate crime statistics which can then be utilized by vast categories of groups and individuals to include law enforcement agencies, students, researchers, the media, and the public.

The respondent universe for the CJIS Audit Unit Virtual Training Feedback-UCR Form comprises one population. The population is the personnel from the approximately 18,000 federal, state, local, and tribal criminal justice agencies’ which are eligible to participate in the UCR Program by submitting crime data. They will be identified via a roster compiled before and during training. The burden estimates are based on annual anticipated course offerings and associated attendee volume per course. The collection is a voluntary request to elicit customer satisfaction on UCR virtual training services received. The respondent is invited to participate in the collection via an e-mail invitation, which contains a link to the online instrument.
