Abstract: NIGMS is requesting a revision to remove completed surveys and continue the final year of data collection for the Diversity Program Consortium (DPC) evaluation. With that, the DPC initiative has two five-year funding periods with Phase I completed and Phase II, the final phase, in progress. The DPC is a national consortium, comprised of multiple integrated initiatives, three of which are related to this evaluation: (1) Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) Initiative, (2) National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN), and (3) Coordination and Evaluation Center (CEC). Data collection efforts are needed to meet the requirement for formal evaluations of the BUILD Phase I and II and NRMN Phase I initiatives under the NIH-funded cooperative agreement awarded to CEC at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Short Statement: As noted in the previous submission, NIGMS is requesting a revision to remove completed surveys and continue the final year of data collection for the DPC evaluation. While the consortium-wide evaluation plan is highly similar to the previous submission, some adjustments have been made to reflect the updated burden estimates for the revised request. Only a subset of the data collection instruments included in the previous submission require continued data collection; therefore, instruments completed as planned during the preceding clearance period have been removed, and the proposed expiration date for the remaining surveys has been extended by 13 months.
