Abstract: This OMB Control Number covers paperwork requirements for operators and operating rights owners in the National Petroleum Reserve – Alaska (NPRA). In accordance with the National Petroleum Reserves Production Act (42 U.S.C. 6501 - 6508) and regulations at 43 CFR part 3130 (subparts 3130, 3133, 3135, 3137, and 3138), a respondent may apply to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a competitive oil and gas lease and may propose a unit agreement that meets the requirements for unitized exploration and development of oil and gas resources of the NPRA. This OMB Control Number is currently scheduled to expire on August 31 , 2023. The BLM request that OMB renew this OMB Control Number for an additional three years.
