Rule 30e-1 under the Investment Company Act generally requires a registered management company (âfundâ) to transmit to its shareholders, at least semi-annually, a report containing the information that is required to be included in such reports by the fundâs registration statement form under the Investment Company Act.
The estimated hourly burden associated with rule 30e 1 has decreased from 1,738,428 hours to 1,437,523 (a decrease of 300,905 hours). The estimated cost burden associated with rule 30e 1 has increased from $155,164,791 to $174,614,292 (an increase of $19,449,501). The decrease in hours is due to a decrease in the number of funds subject to the rule and the increase in cost is due to a change in methodology in calculated wage rates as well as rising wages generally. Also, staff estimates that the total annual external cost burden would be $174,614,292, which would represent an estimated annual increase of $19,449,501 over the current burden estimates
